Welcome to IWD!It is our hope that this site will be a rallying point for a new global rape prevention initiative. There’s a lot going on at the moment as we redesign our program to meet the needs of vulnerable communities around the world. Let’s get started!It is our mission to organize, design and implement safety strategies wherever they are requested – and to do so in an efficient and timely manner. To do this we will be networking with some of the top people in the field of curriculum writing, self defense training, marketing/promotion strategies, business development, data collection and funding bodies. Why?Because the global rape epidemic requires nothing less than a committed group of passionate brilliant minds pulling together to create a sustainable, effective, highly structured organization. Self defense works, but it needs to be accessible, fundable and efficient. That’s where we come in. Our goal today is to develop new SD delivery strategies for vulnerable populations and implement them in a way where quality is not compromised and impact is measurable. The new I’M WORTH DEFENDING program is set to launch in late autumn 2009.
